Emotional support for family caregivers
When caregiving follows you through the day
You may be answering work emails while waiting for a call from the hospital. At dinner, you're wondering whether you should have stayed longer with Mom. Then a sibling calls with a different idea about what you ought to do. Caregiving can take up a lot of room in your head, even when you're somewhere else.
We offer a place to talk about that. You might be worried, tired of explaining yourself, or feeling guilty for wanting a break. You can say what's on your mind without turning it into a tidy question first.
Time to talk with Beth
One-to-one coaching gives you time to talk about your situation and how it's impacting your family. Beth can help you think through daily worries, difficult decisions, or how to ask someone else to help. Sometimes the practical problem and the feeling behind it need attention together.
For example, siblings may disagree about who visits and who makes the calls. Or you may be the one who lives farthest away, trying to understand what everyone else is seeing. Beth's My Caregiving Journey Plan™ keeps the focus on your needs. Read more about working with Beth.
Beth brings her own family caregiving experience to this work, along with her experience supporting other families. You can ask about her approach in a call before making any decisions.
Would a group feel right?
The Caregiving Circle™ is the weekly group Sarah and Beth lead online. It's another way to find support if you'd like to talk with other people who are caring for someone. Learn more about The Caregiving Circle.
Some people prefer to begin with an individual conversation. Others want the company of a group. Some want both. Read about each option and think about which setting would make it easier for you to discuss your situation.Individual coaching and the group aren't a substitute for mental health treatment. If you're in crisis, contact your doctor or, in the United States, call 988 or text 988.
Ask about one-to-one support
Our Individuals & Families page explains the options. For a conversation about your own situation, book a complimentary 10-minute consultation with Beth. You can talk about what's been hardest lately and whether coaching could help.
